From quick bites to gourmet delights

From quick bites to gourmet delights!

We’ve got it all in the Piazza!
Published 15 December

Those who have wandered through The Piazza know that it’s sprawling with a variety of restaurants, cafes, and fast-food joints that have everything from quick bites to gourmet delights.  Plus full of family-fun and entertainment. One only needs to spend some time trying a dish from each to realise they’re consistently savvy in the kitchen. We thought we would map out some of the must-try dishes that you simply can’t look past!

Without further ado, here are the crowd favourites of The Piazza highlighting top menu items from Coffee Club, Choo Choo Sushi, GYG, Rashays, Nandos, Max Brenner, Sporting Globe, Grill’d, Kinn Thai, Hogs Breath, Shingle Inn, Frankie's Place and Beach House.

The Coffee Club

The Coffee Club is the perfect place for a lazy Sunday morning breakfast with the fam. The friendly baristas will sort you out when it comes to a much-needed caffeine kick, all while the chefs whip up a tasty treat. Their famous eggs benny is their signature meal – think ciabatta, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and more.

Choo Choo Sushi

When the midday hunger kicks in, be sure to put Choo Choo Sushi on your radar! Known for their uber-fresh sushi rolls and delightfully delicious hot bowls! Although it would be practically impossible to only have one dish here, the Chicken Teriyaki Udon is a crowd favourite.

Guzman Y Gomez

Let’s taco about Guzman Y Gomez aka the ultimate casual dining destination, specialising in authentic and mouth-watering Mexican cuisine. Their menu is home to a slew of iconic bites but (drum roll please) GYG’s most loved menu item is… their burritos! Order their famous Cali burrito (it even has fries in it).

Rashays

There’s something for everyone at Rashays – from pizza and pasta to salad and schnittys! But if you had to try just one item, then their slow-cooked steak and mash is a must (especially if you’re feeling like a good ol’ hearty meal).

Max Brenner

Calling all sweet tooths and chocolate lovers – you have to try Max Brenner’s iconic Tutti Frutti Waffles. Expect Belgian waffles served with ice cream, fresh strawberries, and bananas covered in pure melted chocolate (beware, it might just be the most decadent meal you’ve ever had!).

Sporting Globe

Sporting Globe is so much more than a sports bar – it’s here where Logan locals can enjoy an amazing selection of food and drinks while watching a game! Be sure to try their famous cheeseburger parma featuring hand-crumbed chicken breast, baked and then topped with hickory-smoked BBQ sauce.

Grill’d

It’s always a good time for burgers – especially when they are from Grill’d! And get this, their burgers are 100% natural, made with zero artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives. The Simply Grill’d is certainly a favourite!

Kinn Thai

Situated in front of Hogs Breath, Kinn Thai is renowned for their ability to achieve the perfect balance of flavours! Everything on the menu has been hand-crafted by their team of talented chefs using only but the freshest of ingredients. For a tasty morsel, opt for their san choy bow (it’s truly to die for).

Hogs Breath

An oldie but a goldie! Hogs Breath has been serving up amazing meals since its birth in 1989, so it’s safe to say they have mastered the art of cooking. It’s no surprise their 18-hour slow-cooked prime rib made the list – they really do cook it for 18 hours!

Frankie’s Place

Coupling delicious Italian cuisine with fabulous service, Frankie’s Place is one of the new kids on the block – only recently opening! This Italian gem is situated opposite Shingle Inn and happens to be home to seriously impressive pizza and pasta. You can’t go wrong with their margarita pizza.

Shingle Inn

After something decadent, delicious, and well-deserved? Shingle Inn’s high tea is perfect for you! Enjoy a range of petite sweets, delicate ribbon sandwiches, and a traditional scone with jam and cream. They even have a kids high tea option (yummy sausage rolls and babycinos included!).

Beach House Bar and Grill

Last but not least, Beach House. This bar and grill are all about Australian cuisine. And what do you think of when you hear ‘Australian cuisine’? Seafood, of course! The crumbed calamari served with chips, garden salad, and garlic aioli will have you coming back for more, time and time again.
